A Huge Congrats to the Season 111 Elite Tipping Game champion Stanislav Frolov who has won the game for the first time!

All changes made between the seasons was all back end work on the admin side which should fix the slow responses for the race results being calculated.

Early on last season there were a couple of occurrances of a database error and the results script being run twice per race which essentially awarded everyone double points.

There is now a check in place to make sure that if results exist in the database for a particular race it will now stop the script before making any changes, there were also an extra security measure put in place to ensure only the correct persons can run this and all other backend scripts.
The Race results script has been scheduled to run at 11pm CET after each race which ran sucessfully for the last four races of Season 111.

- Database restore was found to be a problem when restoring the game to to its pre race status in an event of a problem, essentially the database was too big for the server to load so have removed a couple of tables from this database which are not touched from race to race during the season, one of these was the history table which ended up being 60% of the backup. These tables are still backed up in the regular server backups incase they are needed to be restored but the chance of this is very low once they have been modified by the end of season script.

A few page display quirks were fixed up as well as some pages which were causing errors to be logged to the error log.

The Last change put in place is on the server itself and that is a system which will now block hosts which continue to request pages that do not exist on the server, this has been put in place to prevent the constant flood of fail requests from bots and web crawlers which were tying up server resources and ended up causing the server to not be able to load pages for legitimite visitors in the early races last season.
The fix has been in place for about 5 or 6 races now and has broght server load down to about 5 - 10% total during the busy periods which is a fantastic result.
